The Challenge

Bennett University required a sophisticated system to address several operational complexities:

  • Complex Shift Logic: Managing 12-hour rotational shifts and multiple shifts per day.

  • Security Concerns: The need for zero proxy attendance and touchless, hygienic authentication.

  • Data Sovereignty: A strict requirement for an on-premise secure architecture where university data remains on campus.

  • Audit Compliance: Ensuring accurate reporting for HR and meeting strict audit needs.


Our Solution

We deployed a high-performance integrated solution consisting of specialized hardware and intelligent software layers.

Hardware Implementation

  • Device: AI Face Reader – SpeedFace Mini AC Plus.

  • Capacity: Support for 3,000 to 10,000 faces and 200,000 logs.

  • Features: Anti-spoofing technology, Linux OS, and multi-factor authentication (Face, Finger, Card, or PIN).

Software & Intelligence Layer

  • Deployment: Local attendance server hosted within the university network.

  • FILO Logic (First-In / Last-Out): System automatically identifies the first valid “IN” and last valid “OUT” to eliminate incorrect punch pairing.

  • Shift Rule Engine: Advanced calculations for grace time, late/early rules, overtime, and break handling.

  • Midnight Continuity: Accurately calculates attendance even when shifts cross the midnight threshold (e.g., 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

System Architecture

Note: The architecture ensures that encrypted communication occurs between the face devices and the local attendance server, with web-based dashboard access for HR and Admin teams.
